UFO Filmmaker Admits He Was Used as a Pawn

A British filmmaker at the center of one of the most widely circulated UAP claims of 2026 has publicly acknowledged that he was likely fed disinformation. Mark Christopher Lee, a UK-based filmmaker and UFO researcher, claimed earlier this year that a Washington insider had confirmed President Trump had a formal UFO disclosure speech written and ready to deliver on July 8th, 2026 — a date chosen to coincide with the 79th anniversary of the Roswell press release. The story was picked up by Newsweek, the Daily Mail, and others, arriving at a moment when UAP anticipation was already high following Barack Obama’s viral aliens-are-real comment and Lara Trump referencing stories of a queued-up speech on her show. According to Newsweek, no evidence of a planned speech was found and no on-the-record response was received from the White House.
In a recent interview with UFOs Around the World, Lee admitted he had been completely misled and said his source was likely a plant designed to manipulate the community. Lee noted he had two sources, both connected to Skinwalker Ranch, and that his primary source has since gone silent. During the interview, Robert Bigelow — the aerospace entrepreneur with a long history of funding government UAP research — was suggested as one of the insiders. Lee did not deny it. What Lee did confirm is that he believes the information was designed to spread false expectations of disclosure and redirect this community toward a manufactured narrative. As covered across UAP research circles, disinformation in this field directly undermines the credibility of legitimate witnesses, researchers, and the congressional oversight work that has been years in the making.

In a separate but related development, flights at Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany were halted for nearly 30 minutes on Wednesday evening, March 11th, after air traffic control spotted what was described as a luminous flying object near a German Armed Forces helicopter hangar. According to German newspaper Tagesspiegel, police searched the surrounding area and could not identify a drone or similar object, with the suspicion ultimately deemed unsubstantiated. This follows a pattern of similar incidents across European airports and military sites in recent months, including multiple flight halts at Munich Airport in October 2025.
Per reporting on the broader European situation, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s cabinet passed a law authorizing police to shoot down unidentified drones in cases of acute threat — though no objects have been brought down since. To this day, none have been shot down.
The SETI Institute has published new findings in the Astrophysical Journal suggesting space weather may have been scattering alien radio signals for years, making them undetectable — a problem worst around M-dwarf stars, the most common and most habitable-planet-friendly stars in the Milky Way. Study co-author Grayce Brown said searches now need to be designed around what actually arrives at Earth, not just what was sent. The Breakthrough Listen Initiative, working with NVIDIA, has deployed an AI system that processes telescope data 600 times faster with a 7 percent accuracy improvement — and senior SETI astronomer Seth Shostak has said first contact may arrive as AI-to-AI communication entirely. SETI has also expanded its search to more than 2,880 galaxies. On the civilian side, Dr. Avi Loeb’s Galileo Project has tracked roughly one million objects and is training AI to isolate genuinely anomalous data — a data-first standard that is becoming the new baseline for UAP research.
