New reporting indicates President Trump has personally authorized the Department of War to shoot down UAP in an effort to recover suspected non-human intelligence technology, according to journalist Ross Coulthart. The claim marks a shift from years of government statements focused on detection and study toward an active interception strategy centered at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
Per Coulthart’s reporting, the Department of War has taken over its own covert operation to intercept unidentified objects at the site, with sources stating that objects have already been downed using directed energy weapons, both within the United States and across the border near Juarez, Mexico. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has been named as the official tasked with identifying and capturing these objects, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence is reportedly involved as well. None of these claims have been confirmed by the White House.
The story traces back to an incident first described publicly by Jordan Flowers, executive director of the Disclosure Foundation, at the June 9th press conference outside the Capitol building. Flowers said multiple senior intelligence officials witnessed an incursion at a sensitive facility in the southwest involving capabilities they could not explain, a claim he said Representative Burlison later described as incontrovertible. According to Coulthart’s more recent episodes on News Nation, the research group Skywatcher, known for its electromagnetic and consciousness-based signaling methods referred to as the dog whistle, has reportedly been absorbed into this government effort, and the same technique is now allegedly being used by the Department of War at White Sands.
Coulthart has also connected this operation to February’s sudden closure of El Paso airspace, which officials at the time attributed to cartel drone activity. His reporting suggests the closure was instead used to secure the area for the government’s own detection and interception activity.
Former Pentagon UAP official Luis Elizondo addressed the broader strategy in an interview with Dr. Eli Karetny of the Ralph Bunche Institute at the City University of New York. Elizondo confirmed that a similar lure-based plan, known as Project Interloper, was real, and stated directly that using such an operation to shoot down a UAP would be a mistake and a provocation, comparing it to the reasoning behind why the United States does not shoot down Russian aircraft. Elizondo also described advising a three-star general that the choice between friendship and force is not binary, and that intent plays a larger role in outcomes than an immediate show of aggression.
