The trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day dropped just days ago and the internet has not stopped analyzing every frame. People are slowing down the audio, examining symbols, and connecting imagery to real world events. The question on everyone’s mind is whether this is just another film or something more.

The trailer opens with a haunting question. “If you found out we were not alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you?” What follows is Emily Blunt’s character emitting a series of rhythmic clicking sounds during a live broadcast. According to a researcher named Brian Roemmele, who has studied signal technology for over 45 years, the alien speech in the trailer uses something called sine wave speech. This is a real technique where audio sounds like distorted noise until the brain is given the right primer, and then the words become clear. He thinks the word that Blunt’s character is saying in that scene is ‘Disclosure’.

Roemmele claims that subliminal induction using sine wave patterns has been proven capable of influencing subconscious choices when hidden within audio. There has been no confirmation from Universal or Spielberg regarding this theory, but viewers continue to slow down the trailer and report hearing layered tones and patterns.

The clicking sounds have also drawn comparisons to the oldest known human languages. The only languages on Earth that use clicking tongue sounds belong to the San people of southern Africa. Genetic studies suggest the San diverged from other human lineages possibly as far back as 100,000 to 200,000 years ago. The San have a deity called Kaggen, a trickster creator figure who shapeshifts into various animals, most commonly the praying mantis. Mantis beings are among the most frequently reported entities in UFO encounter cases, alongside gray aliens. Whether this connection is intentional remains unclear, but Spielberg is known for embedding meaning into his visual and audio choices.

Throughout the trailer, animals appear frozen and staring directly at the camera, deer in particular. According to Brazilian UFO researcher Ronnie Vernet, this could relate to magnetoreception, which is the biological ability certain animals have to sense changes in Earth’s electromagnetic field. If any large scale electromagnetic event were to occur, animals would likely sense it before humans would.

One detail caught by user Moneypenny on X involves a flip phone shown briefly in the trailer. It appears to be a model commonly used as a Kosher phone among certain Jewish communities, stripped of cameras and internet to avoid distraction. Strangely, Moneypenny noted that this particular phone model was not released until 2023, which raises questions about the film’s timeline.

Another line sparking debate comes from Josh O’Connor’s character, who states the truth belongs to seven billion people. The current world population is over eight billion. Some speculate this is intentional and that within the film’s narrative, not everyone on Earth is fully human. Others believe the story may span multiple decades.

According to a Reddit post referenced in the discussion, the timing of this film feels eerily similar to 2007 and 2008 when the internet was buzzing about the Mitchell Hedges crystal skull mystery, only for search results to become flooded with Indiana Jones advertisements. X user Grant Lavac on X also pointed out that the house in Disclosure Day looks incredibly similar to the one in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. When screenwriter David Koepp was asked whether the two films share the same universe, he refused to answer.

There was also a rumor circulating that Emily Blunt would appear as a witness at an upcoming congressional UAP hearing. According to Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, that claim has been debunked.

Whether Disclosure Day is simply entertainment, brilliant marketing timed to current events, or something more remains to be seen. The film arrives June 12, 2026.
