Steven Spielberg has sparked widespread speculation with cryptic billboards appearing in Times Square and Los Angeles featuring a bird with a human eye at its center and the tagline “All Will Be Disclosed.” The imagery accompanies a release date of June 12, 2026, for what many believe will be titled “Disclosure,” though Universal has not officially confirmed the name. According to earlier reports, Spielberg initially referred to the project as “Dish” before the title reportedly changed.
The film boasts an impressive cast and reunites Spielberg with screenwriter David Koepp, who previously penned Jurassic Park and War of the Worlds for the director. According to reports from a private Universal screening event held earlier this year, preview footage showed Emily Blunt being pursued by figures in unmarked black vehicles, a dramatic train collision sequence, and an underground control room reminiscent of NASA facilities.
The timing of the announcement has drawn attention from those following the UFO disclosure movement. Dan Farah, who produced Ready Player One alongside Spielberg, recently released “The Age of Disclosure” documentary in November 2025. Both projects share thematic elements and the word “disclosure” in their titles, leading some observers to speculate about potential coordination between the two releases.

Spielberg’s connection to the UFO topic extends back decades. In 1977, he released Close Encounters of the Third Kind with Dr. J. Allen Hynek serving as technical adviser. Hynek, who ran Project Blue Book from 1952 to 1969, created the classification system still referenced today and famously described UFOs in America as a “cosmic Watergate.” In 1982, Spielberg screened ET at the White House for President Ronald Reagan. According to Spielberg’s own account of the event that he relayed in 2011 to Eric Vespe, Reagan stood up afterward and stated that there were people in the room who knew everything on screen was “absolutely true,” delivering the line without smiling despite the audience treating it as a joke.

During a 2023 interview with Stephen Colbert, Spielberg expressed his belief that humanity is not alone in the universe, calling it mathematically impossible that we are the only intelligent species. He also floated an alternative theory suggesting that unidentified objects could be humans from 500,000 years in the future returning to document a critical period in our history.
