Before David Grusch, a Sniper Described Armed Reptilians
A former U.S. Army sniper has shared an account of armed reptilian beings, a deadly fire fight and a death recorded as a training accident. According to Liberation Times, Nick Betts first told the story on the Liberty Risk podcast, which he co-hosts, in December 2025. That was almost ten months before David Grusch described reptilian beings on The Joe Rogan Experience.
Betts did not witness the event. He heard it in a hotel room in Poland while filming a documentary about the war in Ukraine. The storyteller is an unnamed, retired special operations soldier, about 50 years old, who was traveling with the documentary crew. Before talking, the man placed everyone’s phones inside a microwave, which works as a makeshift Faraday cage that blocks signals.
According to the account on Liberty Risk, his squadron at Fort Bragg was on quick reaction force duty when it was recalled without a briefing. The team landed somewhere hot and was told in a secure briefing room that they were at Area 51. An underground site a few miles away had stopped answering radio checks, and a first response team had also gone silent.
The team was issued unfamiliar weapons that took no magazines, which Betts described as a high-energy weapon system. Inside the facility, which the storyteller compared to the underground base in Independence Day, complete with handprint and iris scanners, one soldier was hit in the chest and killed. The team returned fire on what Betts described as a two-legged, mildly reptilian being with fingers, carrying the same type of weapon. They had been told three beings were inside, and they killed all three.
The fallen soldier was allegedly cremated against his Catholic faith, and his death was logged as a training accident. Survivors signed documents and repeated biometric scans.
Betts took the story seriously because of what happened the next morning. He told Liberty Risk that a second alleged team member grabbed him by the neck, pinned him against a wall and warned him never to raise the subject again. Betts was then removed from the documentary job and flown home from Poland. His co-hosts, Ryan Williams and Kevin Kent, raised the possibility of a prank. Betts questioned why a joke would cost him weeks of paid work.
Liberation Times also references a new intelligence community source who describes aggressive reptile-like beings called “strangers,” allegedly based beneath the Moon’s surface and in a long-running rivalry with a “Nordic” group. Dr. Eric Davis told lawmakers in May 2025 that his sources described reptile-like beings among some UFO crews.
