On March 31st, 2026, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, Chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, sent a formal letter to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth demanding the delivery of 46 specific classified UAP video files no later than April 14th, 2026. According to the letter, the Task Force has found AARO — the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, the Pentagon’s congressionally mandated UAP investigation body — less than adequate in its responses when questioned about UAP sightings and provided data.
The request follows a Task Force hearing held on September 9th, 2025, where whistleblowers informed Congress that AARO holds additional video records of UAP sightings that have never been publicly disclosed. According to the letter, the 46 files span multiple years, platforms, and global locations, including a 2022 recording of a four-UAP formation over Iran, a 2021 clip of a UAP making an instant acceleration in Syrian airspace, footage from a fifth-generation aircraft captured in January 2023, and a 2022 recording of multiple spherical objects going in and out of the water near a U.S. submarine — a category referred to in military reporting as USO, or Unidentified Submerged Object, activity.

Among the most notable entries is footage from an Air National Guard F-16, callsign AESIR11, that shot down a UAP over Lake Huron on February 12th, 2023 using an AIM-9X missile. That incident is publicly confirmed. According to authenticated cockpit audio reported by The War Zone and multiple defense outlets, the pilot described the object as octagonal and unlike any balloon he had seen. The sensor and infrared footage from that mission has never been released.
The specificity of Luna’s list is significant. As referenced in recent congressional UAP discussions, including those involving Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison, arriving with exact file names, operational callsigns, and dates removes the possibility of agencies claiming they do not know what is being requested. That level of detail points directly to a whistleblower with inside knowledge of what AARO holds.
