Vance Calls UFOs Demons Without Reading Files

United States Vice President JD Vance went on record during a recent interview on The Benny Show, stating publicly that he believes UFOs are demons — not extraterrestrial craft. The comment was made casually before Johnson had even asked him to elaborate, referencing the Trump administration’s recent registration of Aliens.gov. Vance then confirmed, in the same interview, that he has not yet reviewed a single classified UAP file despite holding the vice presidential security clearance for over a year.

What makes this more significant is the timeline. According to his October 2025 appearance on the New York Post’s Pod Force One podcast with journalist Miranda Devine, Vance’s position was notably more open. At that point he framed the phenomena as an unanswered question — referencing angels, demons, and spiritual forces as possible explanations, but without settling on one. By March 2026, that uncertainty was gone. His position had moved from open inquiry to firm conclusion, and he still had not accessed the files that could have informed that shift.

As referenced in public statements, Congressman Tim Burchett, Representative Anna Paulina Luna, and former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene have each moved in a similar direction. Former intelligence official Lue Elizondo has spoken publicly about being asked “have you read your Bible lately?” following his UAP disclosures — a question that, according to Elizondo, came from within the government, not outside it.

While Vance has described himself as obsessed with the subject and referenced failed attempts to visit Area 51 and a New Mexico facility, Congressman Eric Burlison — who sits on the Congressional Oversight Committee investigating UAPs — has already conducted a White House-approved visit to Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland, with three more site visits reportedly in progress. According to Burlison, he expects materials to have been moved before he arrives. His stated strategy is not to find physical evidence but to find infrastructure — hangars, runways, cranes — proof that a program exists even after its contents have been relocated. The White House directed the Department of Defense to facilitate those visits.

together in the Senate, has since received a formal congressional letter co-signed by members of both parties requesting the release of specifically named classified documents, complete with titles, dates, and metadata. That letter was also directed to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, DNI Tulsi Gabbard, and Energy Secretary Chris Wright.
