Bigelow and Fugal Finally Speak about Skinwalker Ranch Together

Two of the most influential figures in the Skinwalker Ranch story sat down together on camera for the first time, and the conversation produced several interesting claims. The meeting took place on the Bigelow Podcast, hosted by investigative reporter George Knapp, and featured Robert Bigelow, who owned the Utah property from 1996 to 2016, and Brandon Fugal, the current owner and executive producer of the History Channel series “The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch.”
According to Fugal, the most striking recent find came from Dry Gulch Creek, the small waterway that runs through the ranch. His team recovered a decomposing, wolf-like carcass with an unusual jaw. Fugal said their biologist, Ben Woodruff, matched the jawbone to a dire wolf, a predator that has been extinct for more than 10,000 years. Samples were also sent to Colossal Biosciences, the genetics firm that drew global headlines in 2025 for claiming it had revived dire wolf pups through gene editing. Which is also a company that Fugal financially contributes to.
Robert Bigelow described the ranch as the most unusual laboratory anywhere on the planet. Long before the television cameras arrived, according to Bigelow, his teams gathered accounts from the county sheriff’s office and from officers with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the federal agency that works with tribal lands. One report described a creature that cleared a tall fence in a single bound, landed on a home’s roof, and leaped away in roughly 50ft jumps. Bigelow also said he hired Joe McMoneagle, a remote viewer once used by the U.S. Army, who reported machinery and “beings of some kind” underground.
According to Fugal, his current team has drilled into the mesa and recorded a recurring signal near 1.6 gigahertz, spikes of gamma radiation, and metal and ceramic fragments they cannot date. He said a healthy calf once died at the same moment an object was captured above the tree line. He added that his superintendent, Thomas Winterton, was hospitalized after moving earth in 2016, an episode Fugal says doctors could not explain.
The larger point, reference the podcast, is historical. Bigelow ran the property quietly through his group, the National Institute for Discovery Science, or NIDS, and much of that data has never been released for independent review. Both men signaled that a second episode arrives Tuesday, September 1st, and that they are ready to discuss the future of the ranch and future attempts to make contact.
