AARO Releases 3 UFO Videos Then Refuses Investigation

On December 4th, 2025, the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, known as AARO, released three new UFO videos to the public. The footage, all originating from United States European Command and captured by U.S. military assets, includes two unresolved cases and one case resolved as birds. However, the office’s conclusions are raising questions given recent whistleblower testimony about how AARO actually operates.

The first unresolved case, designated PR-018, consists of ten minutes and thirty seconds of infrared footage captured in 2024 from a U.S. military platform in Europe. According to AARO, they assess with high confidence that the footage depicts the presence of a physical object. However, the office states the object’s morphological features, performance characteristics, and behaviors are unremarkable and do not warrant further analysis. The second unresolved case, PR-017, is thirty seconds of cell phone footage from Europe in 2024, which AARO says is insufficient to render a determination. The third video, PR-016, was resolved as birds with greater than 95 percent likelihood based on wingbeat patterns and flight formations.

These dismissive conclusions align with allegations made earlier this year by whistleblower Matthew Brown, who worked in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. According to Brown’s statements on the Weaponized podcast with Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp, he read classified transcripts of then-AARO Director Sean Kirkpatrick briefing Senators Marco Rubio, Elizabeth Warren, and Kirsten Gillibrand. Brown claimed Kirkpatrick distorted, downplayed, and potentially lied to Congress about UAP investigations. He described the briefings as consistently dismissive, acknowledging data exists but pivoting to claim there was not enough to make real determinations.

Brown referenced a specific moment where Senator Rubio, upon hearing vague responses about the alleged Legacy Program involving crash retrieval and reverse engineering, responded by asking what the executive branch had been doing for sixty years without congressional oversight. Brown told Corbell and Knapp that reading this exchange made his blood run cold and left him with a sleepless night.

Dr. James Lacatski, who ran AAWSAP, the largest acknowledged government UFO study program in history, has been even more direct. In a November 2025 appearance on Weaponized, Lacatski called AARO a disinformation campaign. He referenced comments from AARO’s former deputy director dismissing his programs as looking for werewolves and calling Kona Blue the home for paranormal UFO crap. Lacatski stated that deliberately false documents about his programs have been created and placed in government files, which he reported to the Department of Defense Inspector General.

Notably, current AARO Director Jon Kosloski testified before Congress admitting the office has cases he cannot explain. When Kosloski spoke to Neil DeGrasse Tyson on StarTalk he mentioned a law enforcement sighting of a blacker than black object the size of a car that shot vertically into the sky faster than any drone the witness had ever seen. Yet the office continues releasing footage of confirmed physical objects while stating they do not warrant further analysis.
