3I/Atlas Object May Be Hollow -Says Science

On October 11th, 2025, Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb published unexpected calculations about 3I/Atlas, the third confirmed interstellar visitor to our solar system, suggesting the object may be hollow. According to Loeb’s analysis, the object weighs approximately 33 billion tons — equivalent to 5,500 Great Pyramids stacked together — yet when he calculated its gravitational pull, the numbers revealed a significant anomaly. The gravity is far weaker than it should be for an object of that size and mass.

When 3I/Atlas passed Mars on October 3rd at a distance of 29 million kilometers, its gravitational effect was so minimal it could not even be measured. The object measures between 5 and 46 kilometers across, placing it potentially as large as the state of Rhode Island, but its gravitational signature does not match what scientists expect from solid space objects.

Using a simple analogy, Loeb explains that scientists can determine what is inside an object by observing how it spins, similar to how a hollow basketball and a solid bowling ball of the same size behave differently when rotated at the same speed. When Loeb analyzed how 3I/Atlas spins — with a rotation period of 16.16 hours — and measured its mass, the calculations indicated something was fundamentally wrong. If this were solid rock or ice all the way through, it should either weigh significantly more than it does or spin at a different speed. The numbers do not align with observations of normal solid objects. Loeb’s conclusion is interesting: the internal structure of 3I/Atlas is strange. Either the object contains significant empty space inside, meaning it could be hollow, or it consists of material much less dense than anything humanity has observed before. Neither explanation fits current understanding of natural space objects.

This is not the first time Loeb has suggested an interstellar visitor might be artificial. In 2017, when Oumuamua passed through our solar system, it demonstrated acceleration patterns that outgassing alone could not fully explain. Loeb proposed at the time that it might be a probe from another civilization, a hypothesis that generated significant controversy within the scientific community. Now, 3I/Atlas presents its own mathematical puzzle. The gravitational measurements, combined with the rotation data and mass calculations, suggest something is fundamentally unusual about what exists inside this object. Whether it is a natural formation with properties we have never encountered, or something else entirely, remains an open question that Loeb’s calculations demand be addressed.

While astronomers track interstellar objects entering our solar system, NASA rocket scientist Shehnaz Soni has revealed a separate but potentially related phenomenon. In an interview on the Wisdom from North show, Soni — who holds degrees in physics and aerospace engineering and worked on International Space Station systems — stated that her colleagues at NASA launch facilities have been observing unexplained craft during mission operations for years. According to Soni, these objects appeared during critical launch windows with apparent intentionality, performing maneuvers that violated known aircraft performance capabilities. The observations came from engineers and technicians whose careers depend on accurate technical reporting.

Soni approaches the phenomenon through quantum physics and consciousness research, having discovered the declassified CIA “Gateway Experience” document from 1983, which investigated whether consciousness can operate beyond normal space-time constraints. The convergence of anomalous interstellar objects and UFO observations at aerospace facilities raises questions about whether humanity is being monitored as it develops the capability to leave Earth.
