In a groundbreaking interview, engineering experts Chad Wanless and Professor David Palachik presented compelling evidence that many UAP utilize operational warp drive technology. Their research, detailed in their book “Hidden in Plain Sight: Evidence of Exotic UFO Propulsion,” reveals how the principles of Einstein’s gravitational lensing can help distinguish genuine UAP footage from sophisticated hoaxes, challenging recent Pentagon explanations for well-documented incidents.
Chad Wanless, an engineering technologist and MUFON investigator, explained how their journey began when he noticed peculiar distortions in the backgrounds of UAP videos. “Chad called me up and said ‘I think I see something funny behind a UAP in a video,’” recalled David Palachik, veteran member of MUFON Canada. This observation led them to investigate whether these distortions were evidence of gravitational lensing — the same phenomenon observed in astronomical contexts where massive objects bend light passing nearby.
Their analysis in their video presentation focused on applying Dr. Miguel Alcubierre’s warp drive theory to real-world UAP footage. Using mathematical modeling based on Alcubierre’s equations, they demonstrated how a warp drive would create distinctive spatial distortions around a craft. “This isn’t something we made up,” emphasized Palachik. “The mathematical formulas created a scatter plot diagram that proves what we’re about to continue to prove.”

The researchers highlighted the Aguadilla Puerto Rico UAP incident as a prime example. The Department of Homeland Security footage shows clear instances of background distortion as the object passes in front of linear features. When the UAP crosses over a tarmac line and buildings, these features momentarily deform in ways consistent with theoretical gravitational lensing effects. They directly challenged the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) explanation that the Aguadilla UAP was “just balloons,” presenting infrared camera evidence showing how both latex and mylar balloons appear fundamentally different from what was recorded.

Perhaps most remarkably, the team discovered what they call “vapor cones” — cold atmospheric anomalies visible in infrared footage directly above UAPs. They explained that these form when air passes through the spatially compressed region above a warp bubble, causing rapid decompression and adiabatic cooling similar to how aircraft create vapor cones at transonic speeds. This signature was visible in multiple videos, including the Aguadilla footage and the “Rubber Duck” UAP.

Their research extended to historical UAP photographs, including the famous Paul Trent photos from 1950 and the Trindade Island UAP from 1958. By applying their spatial warp grid overlay to these images, they demonstrated why authentic UAPs often appear tilted during flight and show subtle asymmetric distortions. “These three photographers didn’t know about Alcubierre’s warp drive theory,” noted Wanless. “The simplest explanation is they took photos of real discs actually using Alcubierre warp drive systems.”

In one of the interview’s most striking moments, Wanless explained how their nested warp drive flight control theory perfectly matches Bob Lazar’s description of the “Sport Model” UAP propulsion system — years before Alcubierre published his theory. “Bob’s description is theoretically possible according to the Alcubierre theory taken to the next logical level,” Wanless explained, showing diagrams of how multiple smaller warp nacelles could be placed inside a larger warp field to create asymmetric propulsion effects for directional control.
The engineers’ groundbreaking work represents a significant advancement in UAP research, providing testable scientific criteria for evaluating the authenticity of UAP encounters. By identifying specific optical signatures that would be nearly impossible to fake without knowledge of advanced physics, Wanless and Palachik have established a new framework for understanding these phenomena. As their research continues through their organization, the Centre for the Scientific Study of Atmospheric Anomalies (CSSAA), they hope to reveal more evidence that what many witnesses have reported for decades may indeed be advanced technology implementing principles modern science is only beginning to understand.
