In recent months, the topic of UFOs / UAP has gained unprecedented momentum in Washington D.C. With this flurry of congressional activity, whistleblower testimonies, and high-profile resignations have created what Representative Eric Burlison has dramatically dubbed “UAP week” — potentially signaling a watershed moment in the decades-long quest for disclosure. However, the UFO hearing has been canceled.
UAP Week? Not Anymore - UFO HEARING CANCELED
Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has emerged as a driving force behind this momentum, orchestrating briefings and aggressively pushing for public hearings. Working alongside Representatives Tim Burchett and Eric Burlison, she’s established a congressional platform that’s giving whistleblowers unprecedented access to share explosive information about government UAP programs. Luna’s recently published timeline confirms a committee hearing scheduled for this week, following a critical April 29th briefing with the UAP Disclosure Fund. However, occurring to current information a staff member from Burlison’s team mentioned that the UFO Hearing has been called off, days before the scheduled hearing. Even though according to the Defense Scoop lawmakers revealed plans for two upcoming congressional hearings—one government-focused featuring appointees and military personnel, and potentially another involving testimony about a crash retrieval program.

UAP Disclosure Fund — Resignations
In a shocking development, the UAP Disclosure Fund — an organization packed with PhDs, scientists, and former military personnel — is experiencing significant internal turmoil. Following a congressional briefing where they requested a billion-dollar research budget, three prominent members abruptly resigned: Luis Elizondo, Dr. Gary Nolan, and Director of Strategy Matthew Ford. While the timing raised initial concerns about potential conflicts within the organization, it has since emerged that Ford’s departure appears to be for personal reasons, as he reported his mother had recently passed away, prompting him to step back from various projects. However, Elizondo and Nolan have yet to provide public explanations for their resignations, leaving questions unanswered during this critical moment for disclosure efforts.
The UFO Whistleblowers
The spotlight has intensified on three key whistleblowers whose testimonies could potentially shatter decades of government secrecy. Matthew Brown, whose identity was only revealed on April 29th, has exposed an alleged classified program called “Immaculate Constellation” that has been secretly collecting UFO imagery from military servers. Former airman Jake Barber continues making explosive claims about retrieving non-human craft, though scrutiny of his military background has intensified. Most significantly, David Grusch — a 14-year intelligence veteran who reached major rank in the Air Force and GS-15 level at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency — stands as perhaps the most credentialed whistleblower to date.

Clearance Reinstated
Representative Eric Burlison announced in late April 2025 that whistleblower David Grusch has had his top-secret security clearance reinstated, nearly two years after it was revoked following his explosive congressional testimony. The timing is strategically significant, as Burlison simultaneously declared that the week of May 12th will be designated “UAP Week” in Congress, featuring multiple hearings and potentially additional whistleblower testimonies (which has now been called off). This clearance restoration, coming just weeks after Grusch’s March appointment as Special Advisor to Burlison’s team, will finally allow the former intelligence officer to access a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) and discuss classified special access programs directly with lawmakers — potentially revealing evidence he previously could only allude to in public testimony.
As this situation continues developing by the hour, one thing is clear: the push for disclosure has entered an unprecedented phase of acceleration, with potentially world-changing revelations hanging in the balance.
