The second batch of UAP files has been released by the Department of War, adding more than forty new videos and documents to the public archive at war.gov/ufos. The archive now holds more than two hundred files. The most discussed piece in the new release is a sworn statement from a senior United States intelligence officer who, in 2025, watched orange orbs rise from the ground, fly within ten feet of his helicopter, and outrun fighter jets sent to intercept them. According to the intelligence summary, the officer wrote that the crew was virtually speechless after the observations.

The full report on that case runs several pages. Ground teams tracking the area on infrared cameras spotted a super-hot object moving at high speed before it split into two craft and changed direction. One object rose from the ground, came within ten feet of the helicopter, dropped below it, and accelerated away. The pilots watched through night-vision goggles as a smaller craft emerged from the larger orb. Minutes later, the crew reported countless orange orbs swarming across a mountainside, with two oval-shaped objects appearing beside the aircraft and remaining stationary above the rotor blades.

According to coverage from CBS News, Jordan Flowers, executive director of the Disclosure Foundation, stated that the release shows the United States has things in its airspace demonstrating beyond next-generation capabilities that the government does not understand. Flowers added that the truth of these incursions at sensitive military facilities is sensational, regardless of the explanation.

Another video, filed under PR59, has drawn attention from image analyst Billy Kryzak of ProPixel Imaging, who has been studying a recurring humanoid-shaped object across civilian footage for the past two years. Former Department of Defense UAP task force analyst Sarah Gamm, on News Nation’s Reality Check, recognized the shape and stated the task force had given the object class an internal nickname, jetpack man. As noted in CNN reporting, multiple commercial pilots near Los Angeles International Airport reported a guy in a jetpack at three thousand to six thousand feet between August 2020 and the summer of 2021. The FAA logged each sighting and the FBI opened an inquiry, but no operator was ever identified. Reference to Jerusalem Post coverage from July 2023 documents members of the Ikitu indigenous community in Peru reporting 7ft armored beings floating about a meter off the ground, which Peruvian Navy and National Police later attributed to illegal gold miners using thruster technology.

Newly released Sandia Base documents detail two hundred and nine reports of unidentified aerial phenomena between December 1948 and May 1950. Sandia was the headquarters of the Armed Forces Special Weapons Project, the military successor to the Manhattan Project. Scientists at the New Mexico School of Mines collected airborne dust after a July 1949 fireball event and found copper-bearing material in the samples. One memo cited in the release notes that if the copper truly came from the green fireballs, the objects could not be conventional meteorites because copper is one of the rarest elements found in space rocks.

Peter Skafish, co-founder of the Sol Foundation, told The Hill that the United States intelligence community absolutely knows that a certain number of UAP are technologies and vehicles not made by human beings.
