Representative Eric Burlison of Missouri revealed in a recent two-session interview on Weaponized with George Knapp and Jeremy Corbell that he was actively trying to reach retired Major General William Neil McCasland before the general vanished. McCasland has documented connections to the UAP topic, and that detail alone is drawing serious attention.
Both Burlison and whistleblower David Grusch had attempted to contact McCasland prior to his disappearance. Every outreach was met with the same response — he had nothing to say on the topic. Knapp noted the story is gaining some traction in mainstream media but argued it deserves far more prominent coverage than it is currently receiving.
Burlison also addressed what he now personally believes after completing his first classified site visits. He stated on record that he is certain a form of advanced physics exists — technology beyond anything the United States currently possesses — and described what he has personally witnessed as an ontological shock. He confirmed that material exists which the American public has not been allowed to see.

Per previous reporting, Burlison’s visit to Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland was White House-approved. The hangar described in written congressional testimony by former Pentagon official Lue Elizondo — built to accommodate a transfer of advanced materials between Lockheed Martin and Robert Bigelow, a transfer allegedly blocked by the CIA — was confirmed as real, though empty.
Adding further weight to the safety concerns raised in the interview, David Grusch stated in a 2023 interview with the ICER that of the 40 individuals he interviewed during his investigation, between 10 and 12 raised concerns about what he described as wet work — covert killings, murders, and people going missing inside their own workplaces. Grusch also reported experiencing personal physical intimidation, which he formally reported to his agency’s counterintelligence element while still employed by the government.
On the legislative front, Connecticut’s Appropriations Committee advanced House Bill 5422 this week, which would direct the University of Connecticut to partner with state agencies on UAP research and explore a dedicated state research center. The bill carries bipartisan support, with Democratic Representative Aundre Bumgardner of Groton — a town that manufactures submarines for the US Navy — co-sponsoring on national security grounds. New Jersey passed similar legislation in 2024, which took effect in January 2025. Vermont’s UAP task force bill is also pending a final decision. State governments are no longer waiting for Washington.
