House Leader Admits UFO Briefing Surprised Him

The conversation around UFOs in Washington just took another sharp turn. House Majority Leader Steve Scalise has now confirmed on the record that he attended a recent classified UAP briefing, and according to his exchange with Capitol Hill reporter Matt Laslo of Ask a Pol, what he saw was eye-opening. The confirmation came after Congressman Eric Burlison previously revealed Scalise had attended the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, or SCIF, briefing. When pressed by Laslo, Scalise stated, reference Ask a Pol, that whenever you go to a briefing like that, there are some things you see that are eye-opening. He declined to call the information unsettling, but acknowledged that even members of Congress walk out of these briefings without all the answers.

This new admission lands as Dr. Steven Greer prepares for a new major National Press Club event on May 8th, which he is calling a 25th anniversary follow-up to his original Disclosure Project event held at the same venue in May of 2001. According to Greer, in his recent long-form interview with Michael Sandler, the focus of the upcoming event will be the science and technology behind the UAP phenomenon, with active whistleblowers from inside classified programs scheduled to speak publicly for the first time.

Greer also addressed Vice President JD Vance’s recent claims that UAPs are demonic. According to Greer, Vance admitted in that same interview that he had not been read in on the topic and had not studied the material, despite stating publicly months earlier that he was obsessed with the subject. Greer claims advisors around the Vice President are pushing the demonic angle deliberately, and that calling something supernatural removes it from the realm of science, allowing the actual technology behind these craft to remain buried.

Greer also stated that more than 80 percent of UFOs being reported today are man-made craft built inside classified aerospace programs since the 1950s, and that this is a central topic of the May 8th event. Adding to the conversation, viral footage from cruise ship Captain Kate McCue surfaced again, showing a silent black jellyfish-shaped object floating directly over her vessel before descending into the ocean. According to McCue, there was no engine sound, no drone signature, and the object was moving against minimal wind at roughly 10 to 15 miles per hour. Greer’s argument throughout was clear: disclosure depends on the public, not on any single politician.
