Congressman Says Presidents Were Kept in the Dark on UFOs

Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed his appearance in the documentary Age of Disclosure during an interview on Hannity. When asked about his statements in the film, Rubio clarified that the interview was conducted several years ago while he was still in the Senate. However, he did not disavow his comments.

According to Rubio, Navy pilots, admirals, and generals came forward with allegations about programs in the United States government that not even presidents were made aware of. He emphasized that while he was describing what others told him rather than firsthand knowledge, the fundamental comments in the documentary are true.

He stated that people with high positions in government are either liars, crazy, or telling the truth. He noted that two out of those three options are problematic and that the issue cannot be ignored. His primary concern, centers on national security. Rubio expressed worry that an adversary may have developed asymmetric surveillance capabilities that the United States is not prepared for. He referenced the 2023 Chinese spy balloon incident, noting that when NORAD adjusted radar parameters, multiple objects were suddenly detected overhead.

The day after Rubio’s Fox News appearance, journalist Michael Shellenberger published a report citing a senior adviser to the Secretary of State. According to Shellenberger’s reporting, the adviser stated that the government has handed over recovered UFOs to private military contractors and that those contractors are becoming more knowledgeable about the craft than the government itself. The adviser also claimed that the country is headed toward massive disclosure, though the timeline remains vague.

The significance of these statements is amplified by Rubio’s current position. He serves as both Secretary of State and National Security Adviser, a dual role not held since Henry Kissinger between 1973 and 1975. This places Rubio at the intersection of the intelligence community and the Pentagon. Shellenberger pointed out an inconsistency in government messaging, noting that the Department of Defense continues to maintain there is no evidence of extraterrestrials while senior officials make contradicting statements.

Rubio’s comments are consistent with statements he made in August 2023 while serving as Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. In an interview with News Nation at the time, Rubio confirmed that individuals claiming firsthand knowledge of UAP programs had come forward to the committee. He stated that some of these people still work in government and are fearful of their jobs, their clearances, and even their personal safety. This aligns with testimony from whistleblower David Grusch during the 2023 congressional UAP hearing.

As Shellenberger noted, President Trump will likely face questions about potential disclosure, comparing the pressure to how the administration was pressed on the Epstein files.
