Congress Demands UAP Hearings After Pentagon Stalls

Representative Jared Moskowitz of Florida went on the record calling for two separate congressional hearings, one targeting the Pentagon’s failure to deliver more than 46 UAP videos requested by Representative Anna Paulina Luna, and a second focused on the growing pattern of missing and dead scientists connected to U.S. nuclear programs. Speaking exclusively to journalist Matt Laslo of Ask a Pol, Moskowitz was direct. He said colleagues with White House contact feel encouraged that a UAP release is coming, but that the Pentagon will find every excuse to avoid delivering more information, adding that the American people already know material is being hidden from them on UAPs.

The backdrop to that statement is a deadline that expired yesterday. Luna had formally requested over 46 UAP video files from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth by April 14th, citing whistleblower testimony that AARO — the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office — already possesses the records. According to Liberation Times, the Pentagon’s response was a restatement of language first used back in February, when a War Department official told DefenseScoop that AARO is working in close coordination with the White House to release never-before-seen UAP material. No videos were delivered. No timeline was provided. War Department spokesperson Susan Gough told Newsweek only that the Department would respond directly to the author of the letter.

Moskowitz’s position is that if the Pentagon does not comply with Luna’s letter, congressional hearings on both fronts are the next step.

Separately, a research team led by Harrison B. Smith of the Earth-Life Science Institute at the Institute of Science Tokyo, along with Lana Sinapayen of the National Institute for Basic Biology, published in Science Daily a significant new approach to finding extraterrestrial life today. Rather than searching for biological signals on individual planets, the method looks for statistical patterns across multiple worlds in the same star system. The premise, as described by the researchers, is that life spreading between planets gradually changes environments, and those changes create detectable links between planetary bodies — even when no single planet shows a clear signal. The team tested the concept through computer simulations and say it holds up. The method is designed for the large-scale exoplanet surveys coming from next-generation telescopes, and is built to minimize false positives.

At CinemaCon in Las Vegas today, Steven Spielberg appeared on stage for Universal’s presentation of Disclosure Day, his upcoming film opening June 12th. For the first time, footage shown to the live audience included what appear to be small humanoid figures — creatures escorted under umbrellas at night, and a non-human hand touching a child’s face on what appears to be an operating table. Spielberg confirmed that no footage from the film’s third act has appeared in any marketing. Lead actress Emily Blunt told Empire magazine that questions posed in Close Encounters of the Third Kind — released in 1977 — are answered in Disclosure Day. That is a specific claim from the film’s star, and one Spielberg has not contradicted.
